Kep Butterfly Farm

Welcome to Kep Butterfly Farm. Kep Butterfly Farm is an initiative of retired doctor of veterinary medicine and philanthropist George Maurice. With the help of Owen and Jasmine Beck, of Jasmine Valley Eco-Resort, he found and secured a delightful block of land with a perennial creek flowing through it in 2009; perfect for a butterfly farm. Banteay Butterfly Centre in Siem Reap assisted George in pulling together a great team and the necessary resources to get things started.

Mr Abe, a former tuktuk driver (and all-round handy man and good guy) from Phnom Penh came on board and has developed the property, landscaping the creek and building necessary structures to house the butterflies, catterpillars, pupae, as well as great places for visitors to relax with a coffee. The Kep Butterfly Farm will open late 2012.
